Whether you come on foot, by bike, by bus, by tram, by train or even by car, the district is perfectly connected.
At the heart of the Howald City vision, mobility is being reinvented to meet current and future needs. The project aims to encourage soft mobility and promote a mix of means of transport.
The multimodal station is the cornerstone of the mobility plan. It is designed to provide easy connections to neighbouring towns and countries. Nearly 24,000 passengers are expected to pass through the station every day!
Another of the district's key assets is the tram, which will be stopping here in the very near future. It will provide a fast, free link between Howald City and the Cloche d'Or and Luxembourg City.
The project also aims to encourage soft mobility with the creation of a cycle path linking Hesperange, Howald and the Cloche d'Or.
A number of bicycle stations and recharging points for electric cars and bicycles will also be available in the district.
In terms of access by car, Howald City benefits from its proximity to the Gasperich crossroads, where the A1 and A3 motorways meet. There is also a 2,000-space P+R car park at the exit.
